Thought for today

The emphasis here is on the personal character, because Yahweh comes through as a person to Israel. He is not a force that has been personified, but a Person. Too often that personal element gets lost in religion. If there is any genius in evangelicalism it is that the personal relationship comes back into the center. And that is, as far as I can see, the only way to explain what really took place and developed in Israel in that ancient day.
