Another book

I now have 3 books going. I don't usually like to have more than 2—1 at work and 1 at home—but Jim has asked some of us to read a book on management. Yes, in the modern world, not antiquity :) So, I have begun First, Break All the Rules.

It's actually a very interesting book, based on over 25 years of interviews and surveys with a large number of people (they claim over a million). They have come up with 12 questions that distinguish a great manager from any other. Interesting questions, I am just too lazy to type them all, so here are a few:

1. Do I know what is expected of me at work?
4. In the last seven days, have I received recognition or praise for doing good work?
7. At work, do my opinions seem to count?

Good questions, and the answers do matter.
