Carta just notified me that they dropped the price on the Ahituv to $124.00 and on Cogan to $78.00. So, your feedback had some effect.

The handbooks by Cogan and Ahituv sound great, but oh boy, those prices are nearing Brill levels ...
Exactly, on the Cogan and Ahituv. I'm going to have to clone another kidney to sell....
Is The Sacred Abridgement more managable size-wise than the continental shelf that was The Sacred Bridge?
I know. I tried to convince Carta to set the prices lower, but with the dollar doing a headlong slide... I'll keep trying.
The Sacred Abridgment will be 9 x 12 and "only" 280 pages, versus the 10 x 13 and 450 pages of the original. Still large, but manageable.

The Sacred Bridge - A different kind of atlas from what I am used to. More words than maps; and there are plenty of maps. Outstanding work of scholarship. This is a reference book that you can pick up and just start reading anywhere.
