Space for God

Trying to help ourselves leaves no space for God. Effort that cooperates with the work of God makes space for Him. Consider the ideas in part 1 of this book: the actions of confession and repentance. Repentance is not an effort that earns us salvation; it’s an action that provides space for God and “leads to salvation” (2 Cor. 7: 10). Repentance demands room in my life for God to work.
